Woodworking

Woodworking
Children love to build things with their hands. Woodworking is a good work to have in the classroom. These books present a simple and easy way to present safe woodworking. They list what tools to use, what to purchase, how to prepare it and how to present it to your students. Children can learn to sand and distinguish rough and smooth wood! Children can master using each tool and make things as part of that process. Each book covers the same basic lessons in learning to use the tools. Projects in Children Can Build include The Sailboat, The Airplane, The Bed and The Horse. Projects in Children Can Build More include The Planet Stand, The Guitar, The Harp, The Table, The Chair, The Rubber Band Board and The Paddleboat.

"The first aim of the prepared environment is, as far as it is possible, to render the growing child independent of the adult." Dr. Maria Montessori.
