Continent units include the animal cards for the five vertebrates and the tree cards. It also includes the Land and Water cards for the continent. An information booklet for the teacher is included. Information for each subject includes habitat-bioregion they live in and or migrate to, feeding, reproduction, unusual characteristics and status (endangered, threatened, common, domestic and wild).
Students like the pictures of subjects in their own environment. It is important for an understanding of how important all species are and how their interactions on the environment affects all who live in it. Teachers like the simplicity of this approach and standard format for all continent materials in all classrooms.
